Drawing In, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on empowering individuals, particularly underserved youth and adults, to achieve their professional and financial goals through career readiness training and workforce development programs. Our mission is to provide the tools, training, and resources necessary to help participants succeed in their careers, improve financial literacy, and reach their personal and professional aspirations.

We are committed to closing the skills gap, promoting economic independence, and fostering financial literacy in communities with limited access to these resources. Our goal is to help individuals from underserved communities in Greater Atlanta acquire the knowledge and skills needed to navigate today’s job market with confidence, ultimately leading to sustainable careers and financial independence.

Our Approach to Workforce Development & Career Readiness

At Drawing In, Inc., we focus on three key areas of development to ensure that our participants are prepared to meet the challenges of the workforce:

Career Readiness Training: We provide hands-on support, including resume building, interview coaching, professional skills development, and job search strategies. Our career readiness boot camps are designed to equip participants with the skills needed to secure stable employment in today’s job market.

Workforce Development: We offer job placement support, including internships, career fairs, and networking opportunities with local employers. Our program aims to create long-term career pathways for participants, ensuring they are not just prepared for their first job, but also for sustained career growth.

Financial Literacy: We offer financial literacy education to ensure that participants not only find stable jobs but also understand how to manage their finances effectively. Topics include budgeting, savings, credit management, and long-term financial planning, equipping individuals to make informed decisions for a financially secure future.

Financial Literacy Courses

Participants will become familiar with the basics of budgeting, understanding interest rates, savings, credit (the debt cycle) and identity theft prevention and safety.  

This course provides instruction for graduating high school seniors and young adults with the goal of them entering college or the workforce with a financial foundation.  We will instruct the participants in the following areas:

Additional Services & Workshops for All Populations

In addition to our Career Readiness & Workforce Development Programs, Drawing In, Inc. offers individual workshops and short-term training sessions open to all individuals, regardless of age or background. These specialized workshops provide valuable knowledge and skills in key areas such as investing, cryptocurrency, business ownership, and now AI in the Workforce.

We believe in making knowledge accessible to everyone, empowering individuals with the tools and resources they need to grow both personally and professionally.

Workshops Offered:

Investing & Cryptocurrency: This workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of investing and cryptocurrency basics, providing an overview of how to start investing in today’s digital economy. Participants learn about market trends and how to diversify their portfolios for future growth.

Purpose and Business Ownership: This workshop focuses on helping individuals discover their business purpose and gain practical insights into business ownership.

AI and the Workforce: As the job market rapidly evolves, artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming industries. This workshop explores how AI is reshaping the workforce, how individuals can adapt to these changes, and the skills they need to thrive in an AI-powered job market. Participants learn about AI’s potential in automation, data analysis, and job creation, and how to leverage these technologies to stay competitive in the workforce.

Program Requirements (during open enrollment): 

Entrepreneurial training:

Participants must be a resident of Fulton County

E

They must be a woman with low to moderately low income

E

They must express an interest in small business ownership

E
They must meet the requirements set forth in Fulton County’s female business enterprise or minority business enterprise certification application
Financial literacy training: (Registration Now Open)

Participants must be between the ages of 16-24

E
They must have graduated high school or nearing completion (on track to graduate).
E
They must be very low income or come from very low-income families.
E
They should express an interest in learning about finances and entering the workforce or attending college
